Barafu Camp
Barafu Camp is the final base camp before the summit attempt on Mount Kilimanjaro via the Umbwe Route. Located on a rocky, exposed ridge, the camp offers dramatic views of Mawenzi Peak and the surrounding alpine desert.
Mweka Camp.
Mweka camp is located within a dense rainforest, surrounded by green vegetation, tall trees, and a more humid, comfortable climate compared to higher altitudes.
After the long summit day, climbers arrive here to relax, regain strength, and enjoy a well-deserved rest. It marks the final night on the mountain before descending to Mweka Gate, bringing the Kilimanjaro journey to a successful end.
